Fairytale Update

Do you remember my Origami Fairytale? Well, here's an update! In paper years, the Princess and the Prince have been married for two years and a half now, and guess what? THEY'VE JUST HAD A BABY!

Aren't these baby shoes adorable? Such gender spoiler pictures, I know!

Of course it's a girl!

A cute chubby baby girl! :)

Salt Dough

Oh salt dough where have you been all my life? I stumbled upon some blog a while back, and that was where I met salt dough, fell in love and decided to make some to see where my imagination would take me. And that's the way these little figures were made!

The little chef and the ombre hearts are magnets for our fridge, and the rest are hanging from my butterfly mirrors in my room.

P.S. BarfDoone's mug in this picture is a salt dough creation too.

Mulan

When Mulan came out in 1998, I was 11, and I got totally obsessed with her and the movie, I watched it every single day! I can totally feel how annoying it must have been for my parents, ha ha! They never said anything, though! :)

Even though the only thing Mulan and I had in common was that I was still an only child too back then, I felt like I could totally relate to her! Ha ha! She became my hero, and I even tried to get out of bed the way she did! I tried and failed every single morning, and eventually had to face the fact that you can never have the flexibility of a cartoon character! :D

A few weeks ago while my dad was watching TV, he accidentally switched to Disney Cinemagic (Deutschland) and Mulan had just begun! Oh how lovely it was to see it after so many years; brought me back lots of memories! As a reason, I decided to draw Mulan whenever I could get a chance, and I finally did!

BarfDoone ✽

Meet my new doll, BarfDoone! I made her about 10 days ago, and she's my first ever flexible doll I've made. For the record, BarfDoone means "snowflake" in Persian. :)

My brother said her sparkly shoes look like Flint Lockwood's spray-on ones! Ha ha! I think he's right!

BarfDoone loves candy, just like myself.

She looks forward to her afternoon tea everyday.

She enjoys reading.

And she really loves her snuggly Teddy Bear! :)

BTW, do I need to mention how she is rocking that messy bun up there?

Have a lovely weekend, everyone!

Bugs!

Bugs have been fascinating me for as long as I can remember. When I was about 5, my dad had made me a butterfly catcher (a critter net), and I remember how I used to catch butterflies very carefully with my little hands, put them in a jar for a while, watch them with admiration, get carried away, daydream, and then let them go back to the beautiful nature they were wandering about at. Ah, those were the days! I was such a dreamer! To be honest, I still am! :)

I was going through my gigantic photo archive the other day, and oh my! I couldn't even remember having taken some of the pictures there! You'd literally fall asleep if I read out the mega number of the shots I've stored in my archive since 2007. Anyways, I rediscovered these pictures across my archive and thought I'd pin them up here in my blog. My favorite bugs are butterflies, ladybugs, and dragonflies. 🐞

I consider myself lucky to have been able to take some of these closeups to see the beauty of these cute beings by myself thanks to technology and digital cameras!

Tiny Mini Drugstore Beauty Haul

Let's talk beauty today!

I bought these last week, and I was surprised by how well they turned out to be considering their prices!

This hair mask / conditioner is really amazing. If you're struggling with really knotty damaged hair, you have definitely gotta go for a hair mask that contains olive extract or olive oil. I was really impressed using it for the first time. My hair feels really smooth now.

Oh and wooden combs are really much better than plastic ones!

I bought these lip balms in peach and vanilla. I'm really happy with them and the way they make my lips so soft. They smell really nice too. And I don't think I need to say how I love tin packaging! Anything from candy to hand-cream in tin looks cute to me.

I couldn't get the flower shape of this brush on camera, unfortunately; but it looks so pretty in real life. It's super soft too, and the hair doesn't come off! Bonus!

Aren't these little brushes so cute and handy with the cap to keep them from dust and dirt?

Don't ever live without a spoolie brush! They're a MUST for the eyebrows!

Last but not least, these brushes apply eye-shadow way nicer than the applicators that come inside the eye-shadow packaging. Those (usually sponge) applicators are such makeup ruiners! Ugh!

I hope you enjoyed my little haul. Stay beautiful! :)
