Digital Scrabbling | Happy October

Hey guys!

So I got so thrilled when I saw the new Paper app for iPhone couple of weeks ago on the App Store! It was the editors' choice and you know your business when an app gets featured this way! I downloaded it, and instantly fell in love. My dad also got me a Bamboo stylus and I haven't touched real paper and pencil ever since! Ha ha! I keep drawing using this app and I love it more each time!

This one was my first go. Not too bad. Also, I am obsessed with the new earrings I've got and I'm definitely going to post an exclusive blog post on them. The umbrella ones you see in this picture are just so tiny and detailed and adorable! Ugh!

Ballerina fairy sisters! I personally love the red one more!

BECAUSE IT IS FALL! I cannot believe how your favorite things change as you grow up! I used to have massive love for summer and hate for autumn until 3 years ago. Then things started to change and autumn kept making me sad and blue up until last year when I started to see fall a different way. I think I had only looked but not really SEEN the beauty of fall till then. And now, boom! I love fall! I love the coziness, the colors, the mood, EVERYTHING! :)

I am such a Disney person and had to give one of the princesses a shot. I picked Ariel because I just love how she never gave up on her love and on Eric, plus she's one of the princesses I've never drawn before.

I drew this one last night and I'm quite happy how it turned out. I think these would look better if I did them on an iPad i.e. if I had one! Ha ha!

Why yes of course a cupcake would be involved! There will always be cupcakes in my life as long as I live - real ones, illustrated ones or maybe both.

Inside Out | Anger

So here's another Inside Out character. Anger! And I think he was really really cute in the movie especially every time he was - literally - on fire! I think drawing Anger took about 10 minutes or less.

If you want to see how I drew Anger, you can watch my very short Time Laps video down below.

What I Drew this Month

This is basically half a cupcake recipe, well, the ingredients only.

All Cinderella's mice are cute, but to me Gus Gus is the cutest!

Anna! :) To be honest, I like her character way more than Elsa.

Olaf!

And this last one is a "realistic" drawing based on a picture I was sent.

Mulan

When Mulan came out in 1998, I was 11, and I got totally obsessed with her and the movie, I watched it every single day! I can totally feel how annoying it must have been for my parents, ha ha! They never said anything, though! :)

Even though the only thing Mulan and I had in common was that I was still an only child too back then, I felt like I could totally relate to her! Ha ha! She became my hero, and I even tried to get out of bed the way she did! I tried and failed every single morning, and eventually had to face the fact that you can never have the flexibility of a cartoon character! :D

A few weeks ago while my dad was watching TV, he accidentally switched to Disney Cinemagic (Deutschland) and Mulan had just begun! Oh how lovely it was to see it after so many years; brought me back lots of memories! As a reason, I decided to draw Mulan whenever I could get a chance, and I finally did!

How to Draw a Cute Panda

Hi everyone! I'm back with a tutorial again.

A big tip and a great life saver in drawing is fine lining. Don't worry if your pencil draft (that's what I call picture number 12) is messy, or if the lines aren't perfect.

See? When you're finished with your sketch, use your fineliner to re-draw everything carefully, Wait for the fineliner to dry (for about 3 minutes), and then erase the pencil lines.

Girlies | Part II

These are a slightly different style compared to my girls from the last post, although these are based on my selfies too.

Girlies | Part I

Since it's Thursday, I'm throwing it back to these drawings I'd done in 2011.

My version of my number one Disney Princess, Cinderella. She's a brunette to me! :D

Second fave Disney Princess, Rapunzel. Love her so much! Also, I really feel like my love looks identical to Eugene Fitzherbert aka Flynn Rider; he doesn't agree, though! :/

Ladybugs are of the cutest bugs ever!

Apart from the first two, I'd drawn all these pictures based on my own self portraits, like this one:

...

Sometimes you feel like you're lost. That you have no power. That people who are trying to steal your smile and turn it upside down for no reason are succeeding 100%. What hurts more is that you did nothing to harm them.

When I started My Little Place, I promised myself it would be something to cheer people up. I never planned it to be a downer. But I just don't feel any happy vibes to send out today... And that ugly doodle above is only a jampack of things I like.

How to Draw an Easy Penguin

Happy new year everyone!

Starting off 2015 with a tutorial.

First, draw a curved line as if you're writing an upside-down U or a horseshoe,

Connect the two ends with a horizontal straight line.

On the top 1/3 of the shape you've just created, draw two curved lines that look like a very chubby curvy 'm'.

Draw two less-curved lines from the ends of the 'm' towards the bottom horizontal line.

We have the body now. Just draw two (kind of) bad shaped lines as the penguin's feet.

The flaps on the sides.

His hair.

Two little eyes.

A triangle as his beak.

Time to fineline!

Tip: To get a nice, sharp, print-like drawing, it's really helpful to use a fineliner to recreate all the lines and details you've done with your pencil, and then erase any pencil traces left once the fineliner is dried.

Color the body.

Also the feet and the beak.

:)

Play around and create characters!

I hope my tutorial was helpful, and I wish the world a very lovely 2015!
