My First Lalaloopsy Doll ♥

I had wished to own a Lalaloopsy so bad forever, and all the pictures I saw on Instagram and stuff melted my heart. A few days ago, I was in a mall with my mom, and we walked past a new big toy shop... Well, not PAST it, cuz I always have to take a look inside toy shops. So I walked in, and I found myself in doll heaven right at the front isle! Among all the Lalaloopsies, I chose Berry, and I love her so much! :)

As you can see in the last picture, Berry has made friends with BarfDoone, and they're getting along so well!

Sew magical, sew cute!

Throwback Thursday

A year an a day ago today, I defended my thesis, survived my viva, graduated from graduate school, and got my master's degree with an A+.

Ah, what a lovely day it was! My family were there plus a few friends, and everything went really well, and I will never forget how great I was feeling. :)

I had made these cards for my supervising and advising professors and attached them to a gift for each to give them after my viva. Good memories!

I should really be thinking about continuing my studies and applying for a doctorate course, but I've really been enjoying being off the hook of school and all its pressure I don't wanna be bothered for a while! Ha ha!

Miniature Furniture

How small are these? Well, they belong to a paperclip. So, yeah. That small! The paperclip mentioned was a character I'd made some years ago. I even wrote a book with a lot of pictures based on her, and I will eventually publish it someday, I hope.

I also made a short stop-motion film about a day in Klippie's life which you can watch here:

DIY Candle Jar for Valentine's Day / Winter

This super easy candle DIY looks so pretty in real life! And I'm gonna show you how you can make one of your own!

You'll need:

♥ a mayonnaise jar
♥ white nail polish
♥ pale pink nail polish
♥ silver nail polish
♥ silver glitter nail polish
♥ silver glitter
♥ blue glitter
♥ clear nail polish
♥ a tea light or a little stick candle

1. Draw snowflakes and a few big and small hearts using the white nail polish.

2. Fill in the hearts with the pale pink nail polish as a base.

3. Once dried, put the silver glitter nail polish as a top coat on the big hearts only.

4. Put some clear nail polish on the smaller hearts and before it dries, quickly sprinkle the silver glitter, and tap off the excess.

5. Clear nail polish the top round opening of the jar, and sprinkle some blue glitter to make it look like some blue frost.

6. The silver glitter nail polish of step 3 must have completely dried out by now, so grab the white nail polish and draw the outer edges once more to give it a nicer defined look.

7. Using the silver nail polish, draw another coat on top of the snowflakes to make them look magical and sparkly.

8. Light the tea light, and drop it in!

As you can see in the pictures above, the patterns on the jar make beautiful romantic shadows when you put a stick candle inside!

♥ SNOW ♥

As mentioned in yesterday's post, it snowed yesterday, and it snowed A LOT for 7 hours in a row! And I couldn't be happier!

As expected, I was just taking pictures like a maniac, and these are my favorites out of 15 bazillion ones.

I think snowflakes are one of the most beautiful wonderful amazing gorgeous things ever created by nature!

I really really hope it'll snow again these remaining days of winter (only 36 days left, *sad face*).

Card Ideas for Valentine's Day

You need to know knitting basics to knit the little sweater front, a pair of toothpicks, two little round beads (pearls), cardboard, and an envelope. The idea hit my mind last night and I had to make it, even though it was past 1:30 am! :)

Love pills! Well, it's actually candy. I took the original cold tablets out and replaced them with these cute little heart candy. If you ever try this, make sure to wash your hands well after taking the actual pills off. I made this card today, btw.

Origami candy boxes (thinking of filming a video on these).

You can pop some candy inside as a sweet little surprise.

Origami foxies

I gave this to my Valentine in 2012.

Origami strawberry. Video on how to make these coming soon!

Origami giraffe

I hope everyone will have a lovely V Day.
