My First Lalaloopsy Doll ♥

I had wished to own a Lalaloopsy so bad forever, and all the pictures I saw on Instagram and stuff melted my heart. A few days ago, I was in a mall with my mom, and we walked past a new big toy shop... Well, not PAST it, cuz I always have to take a look inside toy shops. So I walked in, and I found myself in doll heaven right at the front isle! Among all the Lalaloopsies, I chose Berry, and I love her so much! :)

As you can see in the last picture, Berry has made friends with BarfDoone, and they're getting along so well!

Sew magical, sew cute!

Throwback Thursday

A year an a day ago today, I defended my thesis, survived my viva, graduated from graduate school, and got my master's degree with an A+.

Ah, what a lovely day it was! My family were there plus a few friends, and everything went really well, and I will never forget how great I was feeling. :)

I had made these cards for my supervising and advising professors and attached them to a gift for each to give them after my viva. Good memories!

I should really be thinking about continuing my studies and applying for a doctorate course, but I've really been enjoying being off the hook of school and all its pressure I don't wanna be bothered for a while! Ha ha!

Miniature Furniture

How small are these? Well, they belong to a paperclip. So, yeah. That small! The paperclip mentioned was a character I'd made some years ago. I even wrote a book with a lot of pictures based on her, and I will eventually publish it someday, I hope.

I also made a short stop-motion film about a day in Klippie's life which you can watch here:

♥ SNOW ♥

As mentioned in yesterday's post, it snowed yesterday, and it snowed A LOT for 7 hours in a row! And I couldn't be happier!

As expected, I was just taking pictures like a maniac, and these are my favorites out of 15 bazillion ones.

I think snowflakes are one of the most beautiful wonderful amazing gorgeous things ever created by nature!

I really really hope it'll snow again these remaining days of winter (only 36 days left, *sad face*).

A Bobby Pin's Life

If you have long hair, then you know what a lifesaver a bobby pin is! And if you're a girl with long hair, you've most definitely owned 132,438,347,983,509 bobby pins in your life, but you always have to miserably look for a tight pair to quickly fix things up while you're in a rush.

Here's a documentary of the life of one of these little guys!
(Right click and view the image in another tab to see it larger. There are details you don't wanna miss!)

In 1899 the bobbing pin came into wide use as the hairstyle known as the "bob cut" or "bobbed hair" took hold. It was invented in Paris by Robert (Bobby) Pinot. As foreigners caught wind of his invention, the hairstyle gained momentum and the pin became known as "Bobby's pin." This trend gained popularity in the 1920s because the hair grips kept their bobbed hair in place. A trademark on the term "bobbie pin" was held for some decades by Smith Victory Corporation of Buffalo, New York. A trademark infringement claim made by Smith Victory Corporation against Procter & Gamble regarding their naming their home permanent product Bobbi was settled in the 1950s by a payment to Smith Victory Corporation by P&G. The term is now in common usage and therefore is no longer a valid trademark. Similarly, the British "kirby grip" is derived from the trademark Kirbigrip, used by a Birmingham manufacturer of such pins, Kirby, Beard & Co. Ltd. (Source: Wikipedia)

Throwback Thursday

At some point around 2010 when I had WAY shorter hair and more free time, I used to do a lot of crazy selfies.

Drinking some bokehlicious tea out of my Winnie the Pooh mug which is still my favorite mug to sip from!

"All I want is the wind in my hair to face the fear but not feel scared."

Crazy thoughts!

I guess I was trying to experience how Gulliver had felt in Brobdingnag!

I always miss my childhood...

Music freak

Photoshop freak! Oh dear God, this one absolutely cracked me up when I saw it today! I'd completely forgotten about it! Me hanging from the "Image" tab is so hilarious! Mental! Ha ha!

I honestly have no idea why I'd made one of my cartoon characters seal my lips!

If you've seen a few posts on my blog, you know what SNOW LOVER of a person I am.

I was a huge SpongeBob SquarePants fan back then.

Looking back at these pictures, I feel so tempted to chop a good length of my hair off; yet it sounds so scary to even think about!
