♥ SNOW ♥

As mentioned in yesterday's post, it snowed yesterday, and it snowed A LOT for 7 hours in a row! And I couldn't be happier!

As expected, I was just taking pictures like a maniac, and these are my favorites out of 15 bazillion ones.

I think snowflakes are one of the most beautiful wonderful amazing gorgeous things ever created by nature!

I really really hope it'll snow again these remaining days of winter (only 36 days left, *sad face*).

Orange Cake Tutorial

This orange cake is so yummy, and it makes your house smell so lovely while it's being baked in the oven.

The ingredients:

♥ 170 gr (5.9 oz) butter

♥ 3 eggs

♥ 300 gr (10.5 oz) flour

♥ 140 gr (4.9 oz) sugar

♥ 100 gr (3.5 oz) milk

♥ 30 gr (1.05 oz) powdered sugar

♥ 30 gr (1.05 oz) cocoa powder

♥ 4 teaspoons baking powder

Watch my video for the recipe:

I baked this cake today, and it was such a lovely day! It kept snowing for like 7 hours straight! First proper snow we've had this year! I obviously couldn't contain myself and took 5000 million pictures and videos of which I'll pick some to share tomorrow.

Danbo

I received my Danbo as a gift in summer 2011, and here are some (lots) of the pictures I'd taken of her back in 2011. (You'll scroll down forever! :D )

Danbo in love!

Little Red Riding Hood.

So sassy!

"School?! Uh-oh!"

"Here, take my heart!"

Fascinated by my then-invention magic bulb! Ha!

Photoshoot with her bestie.

Mirror / reflection obsession!

SNOOOOOOOWWWWW!

Looking up a word. Not sure what word it was, though.

Reading for her bestie! :)

Little snow angel! On another note, MORE SNOW!!!

Oopsies!

Winter Fun

Winter is such a lovely time of the year, and since it's officially beginning on Monday, I thought I'd share some of my favorite winter pictures of previous years.

I was waiting for the bus to go to work on a winter day last year grinning ear to ear cuz of the awesome snowy weather taking pictures all along, when suddenly I noticed these gorgeous snowflakes on my gloves WITH MY NAKED EYES! It was the first time I was witnessing the beauty of snowflake geometry by myself! And I managed to press that snap button repeatedly praying I could get them on camera right before the bus would come, and these pictures happened (just the iPhone camera, no Olloclip or such sort of gear used)! ♥

My mittens now, and the gloves I used to wear when I was very little.

Snow and pine trees; my favorite combination!

Danbo and Santa. Danbo's hat, scarf, and mittens knitted by yours truly.

Teeny tiny snowman I made last year! :)

Magic skater snowman!

Origami winter attire.

How cute are these gingerbread Christmas ornaments? They're actually pottery and were a birthday present from a lovely friend of mine. Love them so much!

I have doodles all over my handouts from school! Could never help it! Ha ha!

Let this winter be a magical one with lots of snow and happiness for everyone!

Let's Blog!

So, I have been into photography, DIYs, drawing, etc. since forever. I have also been on Instagram for pretty much like 4 years and I used to have a public profile there. Then, as I started to post more personal things around 2.5 years ago (and also for some other reasons) I decided to go private and remove 2000+ followers instantly (I have 114 now). However, I still post pictures of all the art I do, and I always regret not sharing them with the world. As a result, I decided to come over here to my rusty dusty old blog (that I'd totally forgotten about) and start blogging. Since it's December, why not posting about Christmas? I LOVE Christmas!

I am absolutely in love with Origami, and for every season/occasion I make decorations to make the shelves in my room look cute and pretty. These are an origami Santa, an origami/kirigami (kirigami is the art of making things with folds and scissors in case you don't already know), two little origami elves, and an origami reindeer.
Oh and that snowman in a jar is a creation of mine I did 2 weeks ago. I've made the snowman out of hot glue. Let me know in the comments if you'd like to see my collection of my jars I've made! :)

I think you can easily tell how I love fairy lights and bokeh!
The next few pictures are just me playing around fairy lights! I hope you all like them.

This is the origami Kawasaki Rose in an origami heart box (perfect for Valentine's Day)!
Let me know if you want the links to tutorials for these on YouTube.
