Digital Scrabbling | Happy October

Hey guys!

So I got so thrilled when I saw the new Paper app for iPhone couple of weeks ago on the App Store! It was the editors' choice and you know your business when an app gets featured this way! I downloaded it, and instantly fell in love. My dad also got me a Bamboo stylus and I haven't touched real paper and pencil ever since! Ha ha! I keep drawing using this app and I love it more each time!

This one was my first go. Not too bad. Also, I am obsessed with the new earrings I've got and I'm definitely going to post an exclusive blog post on them. The umbrella ones you see in this picture are just so tiny and detailed and adorable! Ugh!

Ballerina fairy sisters! I personally love the red one more!

BECAUSE IT IS FALL! I cannot believe how your favorite things change as you grow up! I used to have massive love for summer and hate for autumn until 3 years ago. Then things started to change and autumn kept making me sad and blue up until last year when I started to see fall a different way. I think I had only looked but not really SEEN the beauty of fall till then. And now, boom! I love fall! I love the coziness, the colors, the mood, EVERYTHING! :)

I am such a Disney person and had to give one of the princesses a shot. I picked Ariel because I just love how she never gave up on her love and on Eric, plus she's one of the princesses I've never drawn before.

I drew this one last night and I'm quite happy how it turned out. I think these would look better if I did them on an iPad i.e. if I had one! Ha ha!

Why yes of course a cupcake would be involved! There will always be cupcakes in my life as long as I live - real ones, illustrated ones or maybe both.

Inside Out | Anger

So here's another Inside Out character. Anger! And I think he was really really cute in the movie especially every time he was - literally - on fire! I think drawing Anger took about 10 minutes or less.

If you want to see how I drew Anger, you can watch my very short Time Laps video down below.

Inside Out | Disgust, Fear, Sadness + a Tutorial

Hello everyone! I am back...

I may have abandoned blogging, but I have done a stack of drawings that I'm hopefully gonna be sharing here regularly.

These are 3 of the Inside-Out characters I drew; Disgust, Fear and Sadness (the left side ones are the original Disney-Pixar drawings).

And here's a short video on how to draw Sadness.

What I Drew this Month

This is basically half a cupcake recipe, well, the ingredients only.

All Cinderella's mice are cute, but to me Gus Gus is the cutest!

Anna! :) To be honest, I like her character way more than Elsa.

Olaf!

And this last one is a "realistic" drawing based on a picture I was sent.

Sprinkle Jar | DIY

Hello peeps! If you'd like to recreate this cute jar to store your sprinkles, here's how to!

You'll need a glass jar, lots of nail paint, scissors, some paper, a glue stick, and some tape.

1. Accordion-fold your paper as shown.

2. Draw two hearts (one should be slightly bigger) on the top layer.

3. Cut out the hearts, and you should have as many hearts as the number of the folds you've made.

7 big hearts and 5 small ones should do.

4. Stick the hearts around the neck and the bottom of the jar as shown in the picture.

5. Tape round the jar, above the bottom hears,

and beneath the upper ones.

6. Paint over the hearts using your favorite nail paint.

7. Draw a little baking mitten and a handkerchief in between the tape lines you had made earlier.

8. Work on the design. I filled in the patterns using an ivory nail paint, and then used a pink color to add some more details.

9. Peal off the tape and the paper hearts once the nail paint is dried.

And your jar should look like this. I also polka-dotted the neck area.

To make my sprinkle jar more into baking, I used this cupcake as the cork/lid. I will make a post on how to make a cupcake like this soon. I had made it out of hot glue last year.

10. Fill your jar with your favorite sprinkles or whatever baking decorations, and you're done! :)

March Highlights

Spring is not my favorite season. Apart from the first day which I absolutely love, the rest of it make me ridiculously stressed out and nervous with a thousand butterflies in my tummy for some personal reasons... It goes without saying, though, that the beauty spring brings about is so breathtaking that makes it hard not to snap a bijilion pictures every time you step out. Speaking of 'stepping out' since spring has sprung, I've pretty much managed to stick to a very simple workout plan on a daily basis which is walking at least 10,000 steps a day (around 7 km) and has been recommended by the WHO aka the World Health Organization.

I'm sharing some of my March pictures here which have mostly been shot on my phone.

Gotta love them wild flowers!

Reminds me of "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

Green T for... 'truth'? 'trust'? 'today'? I dunno!

Berry seems to have enjoyed spring so far!

I just love this little bucket so much!

If you have read my previous posts, you might know that I'm Persian, and we have just had our New Year celebrations done. On the last day of Norouz, which is the 13th day (and 13 is considered as an unlucky number in the Persian culture, surprise surprise) everyone goes on picnics with their families. To turn the evil and the curse of the 13th away, we traditionally tie the grass (one of the elements of the Haft Seen), make a wish with every knot and then leave the grass in the nature and come back home.

P.S. I removed the password to the zipped file of the April Freebies from the last post and you can download them all now. If you have any suggestions about the wallpapers or the ones for the next month, please let me know. I have also set up a poll on my blog to see if you like my freebies or not. Don't forget to take it.
